Oscars 2013: Charlize Theron Reveals Her Grown Out 'Buzzed' Haircut

Charlize Theron revealed her latest hairstyle on the Academy Awards red carpet tonight. The actress shaved off her tresses in June last year for her role in the movie Mad Max: Fury Road, but has been diligently growing it out over the last three months and has recently bleached her mousey brown locks blonde. Beautiful Charlize, who let's face it could probably pull off a clown wig, said at the time of the shaving: 'It's been three years: It's time to skin this cat already! I'm very excited about it.'

The South African star teamed her new do with a stunning Dior Couture gown and Harry Winston jewels. Speaking about her crop with E!'s Live from the Red Carpet presenters she explained: 'I buzzed it for Fury Road and this is almost three months of growth, I had nothing, like a number two, every woman should do it.' Not only is Theron's short hair a weight off her neck, it has also given the actress an opportunity to clear out her bathroom cabinet. She confessed: 'I had two bags full of hair products that I've donated to charity including hairdryers and straighteners.' One woman's trash, we guess...
