German supermodel Heidi Klum is thought to be worth in the region of £45 million, so she could probably afford to bankroll an entire factory of minions to hand-sew her clothes for her - ensuring she never turns up at a party wearing the same dress as someone else.

But refreshingly for someone so picture-perfect and wealthy, the Project Runway host simply raided the Versace rails for her presenting stint at this weekend's MTV Europe Music Awards. Plucking a black minidress from the Italian label's current collection for a pre-show photocall, Heidi then went on to snap up six dresses from the recently revealed spring/summer 2013 collection. Only one gown from her haul was haute couture - the white, lattice corset dress with a tulle, puffball-like skirt was sourced from the label's exclusive Atelier collection.

Being 39 and the proud mother to four small children doesn't prevent you from being able to pull off a Versace show-stopper when in possession of supermodel genetics. Plunging necklines, backless designs and a show string across your bust are a must for making an impact when pretenders half your age arrive trying to steal the limelight.
