All eyes have been on Alexander Wang during the past month of fashion weeks. It started in New York when the world watched to see how the US designer would top last season’s Liberty-Ross-on-the-catwalk-during-that-scandal moment. How would he cope with his first season as dual head of his own label as well as his new role at Balenciaga? Onto Paris Fashion Week and his hotly-anticipated debut at Balenciaga saw a polished collection reminiscent of the founder’s trademarks.

Amid the mayhem, Grazia Daily got the chance to speak to the New York wunderkind about another of his projects - this time with Samsung. Using the GALAXY Note II's Create & Share function, Wang worked to collate a print devised from images shared by his fashion insider friends which will be turned into a bag, the proceeds from which will be donated to the charity Art Start. 'I see them as a leader in technology and will have a hand in crafting what's to come,' he told us of working with the tech brand. 'That itself makes them an exciting partnership.' Now the results are in - see the final print below. It will appear on a leather back-pack which will be in stores this summer and is Wang's first ever crowd-sourced design.

'Thanks to our closest friends and collaborators, we created a print that embodies their creativity and love for the constant motion, change and speed of NYC,' says Wang. 'We're so grateful that everyone's collaborative efforts will go towards supporting an amazing charity-Art Start-that helps at risk youth through the arts, culture and music.'

Jessica Stam gets arty
Jessica Stam was one such collaborator and created doodles in her downtime during fashion week on her Samsung GALAXY Note II. 'Being a model is exciting and I love working with amazing designers. During Fashion Week there's a lot of waiting around and I need something to keep me entertained,' the catwalker explains. 'Since I learnt to doodle on my Samsung Galaxy Note II I've become addicted, it's the perfect way to kill time and it's very easy to create fun sketches. I use it mostly backstage when I'm getting my hair and make-up done.' Ah yes, a girl of many talents.
