We've long been a fan of Alexa Chung so you'd think that by now, we know all there is to know about her. She's an excellent dresser, she loves palm trees and is lots of fun on holiday - but that's not all! Alexa is the gift that keeps on giving and today, we've learnt a whole lot more about her. In between ‘It’ girl–ing, modelling and doing a bit of designing, the Brit has been larking around a music store in New York City with The Cut. Why a music store? Because Chungers is proving her musical résumé since landing a job as presenter on Fuse News, a TV show that launched in February devoted entirely to music. She talks Popworld, her favourite bands and her drumming ambitions so read on for more AC insights. The question is: will she set up a band with fellow model-slash-musician Cara Delevingne? We can but hope.

1. The band Pavement helped her get her Popworld job

'They were like, ‘Okay, finally, who would you not be able to interview because you love them so much?’ And I was like, ‘Stephen Malkmus.’ And they were like, ‘Yeaaaah, you’re gonna be fine.’'

2. She's 'obsessed' with Buddy Holly 

The first place Alexa visited on her first American road trip, at age 19, was Buddy's grave. 'It was pretty boring. I remember getting there and being like, Have I made a mistake?'

3. Marianne Faithfull gave her relationship advice.

...during Paris Fashion Week. 'I was D.J.ing this thing for Stella McCartney, and I was like, ‘Marianne, I’m having boy troubles.’ And she was like, ‘Oh, darling.’ ”

4. She is not currently attached

'If you’re photographed next to someone, then you must be shagging, I suppose.'

5. She's a bit musical

'I play guitar a bit. I’m trying to learn drums—I feel like I can play violin. I’ve never tried, but I just feel like I can'

6. Modelling got her ready for TV

'I think it was good that I was having a bit of a shit time because it made me quite sarcastic. As a 22-year-old model type, they’re not really expecting you to be like, ‘Here’s the thing, Paul McCartney.’'

7. She makes it a point to repeat outfits

'That’s what you do in real life.'

8. She's more than just a FROWer

'None of my American mates know that I’m really a TV host. They were like ‘What? I thought you just sort of went to fashion shows and stuff.’ And I was like ‘Well, yes. But other things as well.’'
