Heading to the capital for an evening of entertainment and politics, Hayden Panettiere and Gabby Douglas went to the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner at the Washington Hilton on Saturday (April 27).

The "Nashville" star showed some skin in a light yellow silk gown with open sides and sheer straps while the Olympic gymnast smiled brightly for photos in a one-shoulder form-fitting cream floral dress.

Stoked for the opportunity, the 23-year-old actress posted a photo of her invitation with the comment, "Pretty unbelievable!"

Later, she snapped a pic of herself and her dinner pals with the caption, "Amazing friends...priceless @shredidiah @SophiaBush #ConnieBritton #DC."
