Is Miranda Kerr Losing Her Victoria's Secret Wings? VS Address Those Angel Rumours

As huge fans of Victoria's Secret we were shocked by rumours over the last 24-hours that one of the stars of the lingerie brand, Aussie model Miranda Kerr, is set to lose her wings. US Weekly have reported that the brunette Angel, whose husband is Lord of the Rings actor Orlando Bloom, was to part ways with the company after her $1million, 3-year contract expires amid accusations that she is "not a big seller for VS" and "has a difficult reputation." The source told the magazine that Victoria's Secret "can still use her for catalogue, where she will get a day rate, but she doesn't have to be an Angel to do that." Talk about falling from heaven!

We found the whispers hard to believe, particularly as Kerr has been such a big part of Victoria's Secret since becoming the first Australian Angel in 2007. She has appeared in various campaigns, including as a replacement for Alessandra Ambrosio as the face of PINK in 2006, as well as the hugely popular televised shows and was selected to wear the $2.5 million Victoria's Secret Fantasy Treasure Bra on VS's November 2011 runway.

You can breathe easy though, as suspected, it's not true! The President and Chief Marketing Officer for Victoria’s Secret, Ed Razek has since issued the following statement in response: "Miranda Kerr is one of the best models in the history of the business–and easily one of the most popular. She is also a consummate professional. Any rumours to the contrary are simply untrue. While her international commitments have kept her away from us more than we’d like over the past few years, she will always be an Angel to me. We have no plans to stop working with her. In fact, I’ve already invited her to walk the runway in this year’s fashion show and, happily, she’s agreed."
