The Ultimate Met Gala 2013 Recap: The Red Carpet Goes Rebel


There was a lot of speculation leading up to last night’s Met Gala about how all the attendees would interpret the event’s punk theme, celebrating Punk: Chaos to Couture. In reality, a lot of celebs simply opted for glamorous gowns and attempted to add a bit of rebel edge with extreme makeup as well as exaggerated hairstyles. A few stars definitely pulled out all the stops by incorporating some punk staples like safety pins and plaid into their ensembles. Here’s a sampling of some of the more memorable looks from last night’s gala.

    Leave it to Sarah to go all-out for the gala. Her eye-catching Philip Treacy headdress was amplified by a patterned Giles Deacon Fall 2013 gown, plaid knee-high boots and Fred Leighton jewelry.
