Gisele Bundchen joined by Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn in Forbes list of highest-paid models

It comes as little surprise that supermodel Gisele Bündchen has topped Forbes magazine's list of highest-earning models once more. For the eighth year in a row, the Brazilian beauty's earnings have eclipsed that of her counterparts thanks largely to a designer deal with shoemaker Grendene.

To put her colossal annual earnings in perspective (according to the business title she raked in $47 million over the past year) fellow models Doutzen Kroes and Adriana Lima share the number two spot with 'just' $8 million each. Snapping on their high heels are Kate Moss, Kate Upton and Miranda Kerr, who are estimated to have brought home $7 million each.

This year's list has been extended to highlight the earnings of 21 top beauties, providing an insight into the remuneration power of Brits Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn. While the animated Delevingne's face has been inescapable thanks to her unions with Mulberry, Burberry, Yves Saint Laurent beauty and DKNY, she has been pipped to the paycheck post by her friend Dunn. Delevingne earned $3.5m last year while mother-of-one Dunn, who recently got a matching tattoo with her friend, made $4m thanks in part to assignments with Next and Boden.

Catwalk queen Karlie Kloss, 22, is new to list with $4m in earnings while Victoria's Secret Angels Alessandra Ambrosio and Candice Swanepoel were ranked with $5m and $3m respectively. The oldest name to make the list is 39-year-old American Carolyn Murphy, who enjoys a lucrative contract with Estee Lauder.

Notably absent from the Victoria's Secret's stable are Lily Aldridge and Behati Prinsloo, as well as Brit Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
