Sara Parker Bowles: Kate Has 'More Important Things To Think About' Than Fashion

Ever since she landed in our lives over ten years ago, Kate Middleton's wardrobe has fascinated the world. From her first foray into public life right through to her wonderous wedding dress, all eyes are on the Duchess of Cambridge's style swishes - and she hasn't put a sartorial foot wrong. Just look at her recent tour of New Zealand and Australia when each outfit was carefully constructed and proved to be instant sell-outs.

So it's interesting to hear from one of Kate's close confidantes that in fact, her designer outfits aren't high on her royal agenda. Speaking to The Telegraph, Sara Parker Bowles revealed that although Kate will happily chat about style, it's not her priority. 'We've talked about designers we admire in the past and she's always very complimentary about what I wear but, clearly, she feels she's got more important things to think about - and that's what makes her so endearing,' says Sara.

It'd certainly be easy for Kate to take some style tips from the magazine editor. When she married Camilla's son Tom Parker Bowles, Sara also opted for a wedding dress created by Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton - the same designer behind Kate's bridal gown. And just like the Duchess, Sara's a fan of thrifty shopping, buying her shoes from sample sales, and has long been a fan of J Brand which Kate is often spotted in. They'll be swapping coat dresses in no time.
