Following her first overseas speech in Malaysia today where she wore a Jenny Packham dress the Duchess of Cambridge has arrived at an evening event wearing a floor length Alexander McQueen gown. This is the most regal we’ve seen Kate look on her tour of Asia so far, where she’s already worn pieces by designers including Prabal Gurung and RAOUL. The reception is being held at Istana Palace in Kuala Lumpur where the royal couple have been greeted by and posed for photos with officials. Although there are no official pictures available yet we spotted that Rebecca English had already posted these on Twitter.
Kate's jewellery, including earrings and a bracelet, are from her own private collection, but it's the intricate detailing on the DoC's dress which we're more interested in. The gold embroidery features the national flower of Malaysia, the Hibiscus. She also wore her hair pulled back from her face completing the fairy tale princess transformation.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have had six engagements since the begining of their tour, including Kate's speech earlier today. Although the DoC kept her cool during the event she is said to have joked this evening that she was very nervous about speaking in public. She told guests 'I am very glad that is over with'.
