Leather trousers top the list of womens most regrettable fashion buys

A lesson that many a woman has come to discover all too late, according to a new survey by Lambrini.

The sparkling perry supplier to the women of the nation who 'just wanna have fun' coaxed the admission from 920 out of 2000 women, making leather trousers the item with the biggest regret factor at 46 per cent - despite them being one of the biggest trends of the season.

This fashion faux pas was closely followed by shell suits and velour tracksuits, both totting up 37 per cent each.

Other 'what was I thinking' purchases to make the list include fluorescent outfits at number four (only clubbers under the age of 25 can subscribe to neon); sheer tops in fifth position (a favourite of flesh-flaunting Nancy Dell'Olio); bum bags at number six (redeemed only by Rihanna) and crop tops at number seven.

Puffa jackets, Crocs, thigh-high boots, hot pants, clogs, miniskirts, flared trousers and ponchos also form part of the top fifteen - but let's rename that the 'feared fifteen' after this study.
