What draws me to this particular outfit of the never-knowingly-unstylish Chung is not goats but leopards . I always have a soft, erm, spot for a bit of leopard and this blazer, outrageous though it might seem on the hanger, is a classic that you would get years of wear from whatever your age. I feel the same about black and gold sequinned jackets if the cut is good. A bit of leopard or sequin action can be as youth-enhancing as a new hair cut or a great pair of dangly earrings. And both look great with black or denim.

Younger girls probably don't need to be persuaded of the virtues of leopard as Bet Lynch hasn't been a fashion threat for at least a decade. But if her ghost still haunts the more mature of our readers then I beg them to consider grey leopard. In the last week I have seen two women over 50 (one a very stylish 70-plus) in black knits with soft grey leopard print denim jeans. Très chic and proof that a walk on the wild side doesn't have to be dangerous.
