Last night Alexa Chung and the gang were out in force for the CFDA Awards in New York. It was an event for new haircuts as Karlie Kloss showed off her new bob and fringe and Dakota Fanning put her new brunette looks in a simple updo. Virginie Coutin-Clarins has also ditched her trademark blonde locks for a darker look.
Karlie Kloss seems to be dressing to match her new bob, as she abandoned her usual glamazon style and went for an Alexa-esque geek chic look in lace and big glasses. Whereas the real Alexa Chung layered lace on lace, with a white dress and a blue floral overlay. In true Chung style she wore a collar and messy locks, but in a very un-Alexa move she wore red lipstick to match her red nails to match her red shoes.
Allison Williams (Marnie in Girls) also joined the winter pales tribe in a peek-a-boo cut-out Peter Som blush dress with simple updo. Whereas Emma Stone opted for jewel tones in a strapless blue peplum top and a green sequin pencil skirt, both by Burberry. It was a night for the Burbs as Christopher Bailey was also a keynote speaker at the event and arrived with Em on his arm.
Dakota Fanning played it safe in a simple sugary pink Jason Wu peplum frock, not quite as adventurous as her sis and her Prada Judo Platforms. Christina Ricci tried out an adventurous new look in a Richard Chai Love revealing frock with plum lipstick to match the trim.
Other attendees at the fashionable soirée included Liv Tyler who went for blue printed shirt dress, Miranda Kerr who wore a peach maxi by Giulietta and Ashley Greene who wowed in a revealing black lace.
Now take a look down at their shoes ... Emma Stone, Dakota Fanning, Jenna Lyons AND Karlie Kloss seem to be wearing the same pointed-toe stilettos.
