Don't be too jealous, but we've just got back from a visit to see the Chanel Christmas grotto. Yes, their Covent Garden pop-up store has today been turned into the most wondrous Christmas emporium, full of presents, limited edition makeup and a whole lot more.
As ever, the brand has gone to all lengths to make this space as chic and enticing as you'd imagine. From the life-size bottles of Chanel No.5 that greet you as you walk in to the on hand calligrapher who personally writes you a card to go with your gifts, prepare to be breath-taken. The pop-up has been updated with whopping pictures of Brad Pitt and exclusive Christmas sets and has really got us in a festive mood this afternoon.
All you keen Chanel shoppers will be pleased to hear that their Christmas Collection is exclusively in store here before anywhere else - yes, those delectable quads of eyeshadows and glosses are worth a visit - and their are limited edition sizes of vertain fragrances. Oh and if you book ahead you'll be able to have a mini make-over or manicure too, which only cost £25 and are redeemable against any purcahses. Seems rude not to really.
We've got our eye on the collection of mini perfumes (Father Christmas, are you listening?) and wouldn't mind a beautifully written note from a loved one either (boyfriends, pay attention), but whether your buying for yourself or a loved one, it's well worth a visit. Even just to see the gigantic portrait of Brad...
