Rihanna Is Launching Her Third Fragrance! But How Will It Compare To Her First Two?

Last month we have to admit to being pretty surprised when we spotted that singing sensation Rihanna had revealed the brand new campaign for her third fragrance NUDE on Twitter.  But then, once we had carried out a closer inspection of RiRi’s Twitter account, we realised that the star has, in fact, a whopping 26 Million (yes really) followers. So actually, then we decided that if we had such an enormous following as she did…and our very own fragrance to launch, and we were famous, then we’d probably do the very same…

'Here is my new add for a brand new fragrance #NUDE !!! Make sure you smell sexy, especially naked, this fall,' tweeted RiRi. Saucy stuff! And needless to say there ensued a media storm, as more and more of the world us caught sight of the pic of the 24-year-old mega star wearing nothing but a lace bra and a piece of fabric to cover her erm, nether regions. That said, we did particularly enjoy the softer, more lady like and natural beauty look chosen by the star in this shot.

Rihanna’s first fragrance Reb’l Fleur was a bold and heady blend of Hawaiian hibiscus flower, coconut water, plum and amber, while her second olfactory offering, Rebelle was a sassier, lighter and less overpowering concoction boasting vanilla, cocoa, plum and musk.  No surprises that both were a sell-out success, aided by Rihanna’s typically saucy advertising campaigns, the first of which saw her draped across a couch with a sheet across her derriere, while the second featured Riri erm, topless and staring seductively at the camera. We hint a pattern emerging here.. Do you?

This week the star has spoken to WWD revealing further details of her latest fragrance reveal. And from what we read, we’re prepared to hazard a guess that this third scent might be our favourite offering yet. With more grown up, sophisticated and understated notes of guava nectar, mandarin, orange blossom and vanilla nectar, it’s destined to be a lighter scent than the first two, while Rihanna has also explained that it reminds her of growing up in Saint Michael Barbados. Cute!
