And what better way to be inspired than this new viral video from the clever makeup types at Max Factor showcasing some truly iconic and uber glamorous beauty looks.
Make up guru and Max Factor Global Creative Director, Pat McGrath, has collaborated with industry professionals Nick Knight and Sam McKnight to bring us 30 seconds of style, jam-packed with glitter, gold and glam. If you always feel fab in your frock but never quite know how to finish the look, this video is full of inspiration and ideas to help you feel every inch the movie star.
Taking cues from old school Hollywood greats such as Ava Gardner and Jean Harlow, we are treated to smoky eyes which smoulder as much as the on-screen sirens themselves, thick long lashes and not forgetting the key to perfecting a glamorous look: the bold lip.
Pat McGrath knows better than anyone the effects of perfecting your party pout: “A bold lip will always be synonymous with glamour. It’s a look that been around for as long as anyone can remember and is as popular now as it was in the 1920s. A strong lip has amazing powers in instantly transforming something every day into something truly fabulous and ultimately glamorous.”
The video also looks to the future and gives us a preview of the brand’s creative direction going forward with help from ‘models of the minute’ Julia Step, Ming Xi and Emma Maclaren. We love!
