We've counted down the top 10 brunette hairstyles of 2012 and the top ten blondes of 2012 so now it's time to rate the redheads. Emma Stone might have gone back to blonde, but earlier in the year she had beautiful red, red hair. Her fiery locks have been one of the most requested styles of the year.
Congrats go to Lana Del Rey who has made it onto our best brunette AND best redhead list. Jessica Chastain, Christina Hendricks and Florence Welch's fiery locks also had some our most envyed hairstyles of the year.
Two-tone hair was a big trend this year and we loved Nicola Robert's red locks with blonde ends and Alison Mosshart's daring red ends. At LFW Grazia chatted to Alison about her statement locks and she said: 'About a year ago, I bleached about four inches from the roots then dyed it pink and it grew out and this is where we are. I haven't done anything else to it. So now it's turned into that dip-dye thing, which I never started with. It's actually dip-dye backwards. I don't even know what colour it is any more, it's like four different colours! I fear if I do anything else to it, it won't look very good. I'll just let it grow out.'
