Box Office: "Skyfall" On Track to Reclaim Top Spot from "Breaking Dawn"

Movie goers were eager for some "007" action at the box office for the weekend of December 7-9, 2012.

After three weeks in the number two position,"Skyfall" is on pace for a surprise return to the top spot after garnering $3.1 million in ticket sales on Friday with an expected $11 million weekend take for the Daniel Craig fronted Bond thriller.

Sliding in to the second spot is the final installment from the popular "Twilight" movie franchise, "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," as the Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart starring vampire flick took in $2.7 million on Friday while on pace to rake in $8.7 million during its fifth weekend of release.

Filling out the box office in earmarked earnings this weekend are the historical drama "Lincoln" holding steady in third ($9.4 million), followed by Dreamworks Animations' "Rise of the Guardians" ($9.2 million) in fourth and Fox's "Life of Pi" ($8.2 million) in fifth.
