Kate Middleton Faces Another Round of Acute Morning Sickness

In what is turning out to be a rough start to a pregnancy, Kate Middleton has fallen ill with another case of acute morning sickness.

Though she is currently resting at home, Prince William has cancelled his appearance at the British Military Tournament in Earls' Court to stay home with his ailing wife.

The condition affects only .03 to 1 percent of pregnant women, and can cause severe nausea, vomiting, weight loss, lightheadedness, and fainting.

A St. James Palace spokesperson tells Us Weekly, "It is well known that Hyperemesis Gravidarum often recurs."

However, he continued, "Until further notice, to allow the Duchess a degree of privacy during her pregnancy, we do not intend to offer regular condition checks or advise of routine developments."

On Saturday night, the Duke of Cambridge attended the Winter Whites Gala at London's Royal Albert Hall where he updated on his wife's condition, saying, "I don't know why they call it morning sickness -- they should call it all day and all night sickness. [Recovery is] a long old process but she is getting there. She feels like it is going to go on forever."
