When we saw pictures this morning of Katie Holmes in a pretty pretty purple dress with shiny, shiny hair for a charity Gala in New York, we thought she looked just like a Park Avenue princess. THEN we saw the pictures of her with a short bald man and you know what this means? She's totally channelling Charlotte York. Looking back through the Katie Holmes archives, it's hard to deny that the actress bears more than a striking resemblance to the Sex And The City beauty - and not just because they both know the importance of a good blow dry. Here's our evidence...

1. Katie Holmes has found herself a Harry.

We don't know who this man is that Katie Holmes was snuggled up to last night, but what we do know is he could make a bob or two as a Harry Goldenblatt look-alikey.

2. "OMG we have the same hair"

With glossy brunette locks and glowing skin, we can't help thinking Katie looked very Charlotte York at last night's charity Gala in New York.

3. Suri and Charlotte's daughter Lily are almost identical

The ah-mazing little prepster wardrobe and the deadpan stare? These cuties are two peas in an adorable little pod AND they both like to be carried around NY like a toddler.

4. They both colour co-ordinate with their little darlings.

Suri wears a pink dress, Katie wears a pink shirt. Lily wears a green belt, Charlotte wears a green dress. Now you wouldn't catch Miranda, Carrie or Samantha dressing to match a 6 year old...

5. They both love running

Charlotte is a runner and Katie Holmes ran the New York marathon. We know, we know, a lot of people like to jog but there's no denying they both like their sports.

6. Matching days out

Katie and Char must have matching family albums. Why? Because they both like to ride on carousels with their picture-perfect families. Here's hoping Charlotte and Harry are heading the same way as TomKat *sob*
