Anyone who ever watched an episode of My So Called Life will forever have love for Claire Danes, but it’s hard to get past her crazy-eyed stare on the cover of Elle’s February issue. Her eyes seriously look so crazy they make it difficult to focus on anything else on the cover (for me anyway).
Kokobombon posted, “That is one loony and intense stare, maybe she’s channeling her character in Homeland. I’m so glad she got the cover!” she added, despite the odd image.
“What did they do to my dear Claire?” asked LolaSvelt. “She looks like she stepped out of White Chicks,” she wrote, pulling out a Wayans brothers movie reference from 2004.
“I love Claire, but this is so bad – cluttered with text, super zoomed in picture of her, poor styling. Fail,” HeatherAnne concluded.
My only consolation here is that the editorial images within the magazine aren’t nearly as bad as the cover. But I still think there's a chance Claire’s gaze may haunt me as I try to go to sleep tonight.
