Being beautiful can be such a pain! At the 85th Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood Feb. 24, Amanda Seyfried wore a custom lilac organa gown with silver dragonfly embroidery by Alexander McQueen. "They've been working on this for months," the Les Miserables actress told E! News. "I feel super lucky."
"They came to me with the design and I thought it was super amazing and fun," the 27-year-old added when she spoke to Us Weekly on the red carpet.

Seyfried, who completed her look with Roger Vivier heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewels, later admitted that her dress was more fashionable than functional. "I can't sit down," she told Kelly Rowland during ABC's Oscars pre-show. "I feel like my organs are being pushed out of my body slowly."
The star's bespoke gown was more forgiving than the corsets she wore to play Cosette in Les Miserables, however. Even so, the blonde beauty grew to embrace the restrictive undergarment during the grueling shoot in London.
"You get used to it after a while. Your body adapts to it," she explained. "On a day when you're bloated, you don't have to worry about it. It was the period. The costumes were so stunning."

During the Oscars, Seyfried joined her Les Miserables costars Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Eddie Redmayne, Samantha Barks, Russell Crowe, Aaron Tveit, Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen on stage to perform a medley of "Suddenly," "I Dreamed a Dream" and "One Day More."
"I am totally not nervous!" Seyfried told Us before the heavily-hyped musical number. "I don't know why."
