H&M have confirmed that, yes, a David Beckham body double was used for parts of the Guy Ritchie-directed short film promoting the footballer's underwear range.

Becks was rumbled when eagle-eyed viewers noticed that some of his famous tattoos were suspiciously absent in parts of the film where he is filmed from behind. The double was then spotted in the background of one of the behind-the-scenes shots released shortly before the film premiered.

"David was very involved in the advert including doing most of the stunts. Due to the tightness of his schedule a body double was used in smaller parts of the video," an H&M spokesman told The Times .
The short film sees David in hot pursuit of his bathrobe which has become trapped in a car door, running through LA gardens, diving in a swimming pool and leaping over a car as he attempts to catch up with the moving Land Rover and retrieve it.

Rather awkwardly, Beckham did state he had done "all the stunts" in the video in an interview with the Associated Press, saying "It was good fun playing an action hero for the day, getting to do all the stunts and ending up in unexpected situations."

But don't worry ladies, the bum shot was definitely all him.
H&M have, however, refused to divulge the identity of the stunt double, presumably because they fear he may be inundated with marriage proposals if they do.
