Synonymous with Fashion Week street style lists are the ' Russian Mafia ' - four über elegant fashion editors, models and/or designers who negotiate the show circuit fun fair together. Autumn/winter 2013 show season has seen a shift from their 'pack' mentality however. Well, either that or Miroslava Duma has stolen the spotlight and left other members - Ulyana Sergeenko, Elena Perminova and Vika Gazinskaya - of the chic clique floundering in the wake of her winning wardrobe.

Where the fashion elite often bypass London Fashion Week in favour of its big dog European and US competitors, Miroslava hit Burberry (in emerald sequins and jewels, no less) and paraded around London's pavements in an electric blue, wide-legged suit few fashionistas would dare to don.
New York and Milan saw her fight for street style paparazzi attention in a catalogue of chic coats and natty cover-ups, including a block panelled Céline boyfriend coat. Then she treated us to orange geometrics; orange and blue dogtooth; coats with a silver iridescent sheen and jackets that could have been Chanel bouclés hanging off one shoulder. There was even a white pom-pom fixed upon her chest - a flourish that was then imitated by show goers in Milan.

What stands out about the pint-sized editor is not her incredible ability to pack a weather appropriate Fashion Week suitcase, but her penchant for staples. Grey suede knee-high boots and black, platform thick-strapped heels are her bread and butter (does that work with feet?) to detract from her diminutive height. She knows what works for her; and clearly doesn't stamp her feet at designers to wear next season's offerings.
A lady that doesn't shy away from pattern clashing, is partial to a zany hat and continues to surprise us; you don't need to guess twice at who our Fashion Week style crush is.
