Sally Field pulled a Kristen Stewart! While other stars changed into second dresses for the post-Oscar bashes on Sunday night, Feb. 24, the Lincoln actress took a page from Stewart's red-carpet playbook and changed into sneaks instead!
The stunning 66-year-old hit the Academy Awards in a dramatic red Valentino gown with a long, tiered train. On her feet were open-toed stilletos that gave the petite actress height — and possibly aching toes. By the time Field arrived at the Vanity Fair after-party, she had kicked off her heels and slipped into far less fancy, infinitely more comfortable footwear: beige sneakers!

The two-time Oscar winner (who lost out in the Best Supporting Actress category to Anne Hathaway) delighted photographers by pulling up her voluminous skirt for a peek at her athletic shoes. (Interestingly, Bradley Cooper's mom also rocked sneakers, but she wore her metallic versions to the actual ceremony.)
Field lost 25 pounds for her role as First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln. "It wasn't as much fun as you would think," she said on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. "First of all, it was horrifying because I'm of a certain age and I kept thinking, 'If I don't do it right I will drop dead halfway through this and someone else will get the role!'"
