
On Saturday June 1, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter will headline The Sound of Change Live at Twickenham Stadium, a global concert which will be broadcast around the world.
Hollywood actress Salma Hayek-Pinault, who has teamed up with the singer and Gucci creative director Frida Giannini to launch the Italian brand's Chime for Change campaign - which serves to raise funds and awareness for girls' and women's empowerment - announced the concert at a press conference in London this morning.

Acts already confirmed include Florence + the Machine, Ellie Goulding, HAIM, Iggy Azalea, John Legend, Laura Pausini, Rita Ora, Timbaland, with more to be confirmed.
Beyoncé, the event's artistic director, said: "I am excited for us to come together on June 1st to bring the issues of Education, Health and Justice for girls and women to the world stage."

Gucci will underwrite the concert so that buyers will have the opportunity to donate the value of their ticket to a support project of their choice through Catapult, the first crowd-funding site dedicated to the advancement of girls and women.
"This is the emergency and the opportunity of today," said Giannini. "We have reached a significant moment in the history of girls' and women's empowerment and now is the time for change.
Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, March 27 at 9am via www.chimeforchange.org and www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
