Kardashian sisters courtroom beauty battle continues

As if the beauty world hadn't seen enough of the Kardashian sisters in the last couple of weeks, there's more.

Not content with putting all their efforts into their soon-to-be-huge tanning line, Kardashian Sun Skissed, which launched last week, it's back to the courtroom counter attack drama between their make-up brand, Khroma, and the lesser known beauty brand, Kroma, again.

The dispute stems from branding issues between Khroma and Kroma , who say that the Kardashian's brand is infringing on their trademark, and has already cost them 25 per cent in loss of sales in the last year.

It started when Boldface Licensing + Branding (the holding company behind the Kardashian's make-up brand Khroma) brought a lawsuit last year to obtain a declaration that their brand, Khroma, did not infringe on the other, Kroma. Kroma disagreed and their licensing company, Lee Tillett Inc., hit back and filed a trademark infringement countersuit.

The latest update on the saga between the beauty brands, as reported by WWD , is that the Kardashians, as expected, filed an appeal to stay the preliminary junction blocking the manufacture, sale and marketing of Khroma Beauty which was ordered by the U.S. District Court at the beginning of this month.

We knew they would - with anticipated royalties between $4.7 to $5.2 million to the sisters and plans to roll out in to over 5,000 doors by the end of the month, Boldface wouldn't take a ban lying down.

Still keeping up with the Kardashians?

Good, because we suspect this isn't the last we'll hear of the Kardashian courtroom script. To be continued.
