Kate Bosworth's new relationship with Topshop has been shrouded in much mystery; she released a Christmas single with the retailer, attended its London Fashion Week show and turned up at its Los Angeles opening… but what of the clothes?
Until now, the British high street giant has been keen to stress that fashion plate Bosworth is absolutely not collaborating with the brand in a Kate-Moss-designing-a-collection-sense-of-the-word, but the blonde actress attended the Coachella festival in California this weekend, where she sort of let the cat out of her very chic bag.

As much a fashion showcase as a festival (think flower headdresses galore, denim cut-offs on the best legs in the world and quirky sunglasses on the beautiful people of America's West Coast), Bosworth was snapped wearing a laser-cut suede vest and micro-short combo - which she helped Topshop design.

When quizzed about her outfit by Style.com, she responded: "the design team and I thought a lot about the festival season, and, particularly with this collection, a lot of it was about the California girl. Obviously the perfect place to wear it was Coachella."
Further probing reveals that Bosworth definitely isn't putting her name to a line per se, but is just one part of Topshop's forthcoming 'Festival' project.

Described by a Topshop spokesman as a: '360 degree campaign that involves music, clothes, film, journeys and the attitude and energy of British festivals', the project won't get into full swing until later on in the year.
As a Coachella regular (she claims she's forgotten how many times she's been) and a California girl born and bred, it makes sense for Topshop to have approached the star, who is arguably as recognised for her faultless but approachable style as she is for her films.
And it's safe to say that with Kate Moss well and truly out of the frame, Topshop boss Sir Philip Green has snagged himself Kate 2.0.
