One of our long time red-carpet crushes, and the best onscreen can-can dancer we’ve ever seen – we’re big Moulin Rouge fans - Nicole Kidman has just bagged the prestigious job as juror on the eight-person panel of judges at the Cannes film festival this year. What a coup Kidman!
She will be joined by seven other film mega-players, a mixture of actors and directors including, actor Christopher Waltz, Bollywood actress Vidya Balan, French actor Daniel Auteuil and directors Steven Spielberg Ang Lee, Lynne Ramsay, Naomi Kawase and Cristian Mungiu at the film festival which kicks off on May 15 in the French port city.
With Nicole’s red-carpet attendance due to reach an all-time high, we expect the Aussie actress to don multiple gowns and cocktail dresses over the eleven day movie premiere and photocall marathon, known to be one of the starriest on the film festival calendar.
So what do we reckon Nicole is planning wardrobe-wise for this sunny and oh-so chic film fest? We know she’s a fan of classic slim gowns with embellishment, ruching and the odd one shoulder detail – last year she wowed in Ralph Lauren and Christian Dior. She spoke to us about how she gets ready for A-list events recently, telling us “I tend to solicit the opinions of all three of them (her husband and two children) even though one of them is only two. I’ve actually changed when my husband said something’s not great.”
