Here at Grazia HQ, we’ve always been massive fans of US President Barack Obama, but when he turned his hand to comedy on Saturday night at the annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, our obsession reached a whole new level. Who knew he was such a budding comedian!?
Entering to the rap track ‘All I Do Is Win' by DJ Khaled, Obama joked about how re-election would allow him to unleash a radical agenda. But then he showed a picture of himself golfing on a mock magazine cover of Senior Leisure. Gag 1...
“I’m not the strapping young Muslim socialist that I used to be,” he joked, and proceeded to mock his performance at the White House Easter Egg hunt and basketball game. Gag 2...
However, when the president unveiled a montage of shots featuring him with a fringe similar to his wife’s, it seemed the biggest change to his second-term would be aesthetic.
“So we borrowed one of Michelle’s tricks,” Obama said. “I thought this looked pretty good, but no bounce.” Explaining why he showed himself with the fringe, Obama said he wanted 'a little energy' and a 'bit of change' for the next stage of his presidency.
Obama also joked about his relationship with Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z when he said, “I've got 99 problems and now Jay- Z is one."
Oh Barack, we love you. Just maybe leave the bangs to Michelle next time, yeah?
