Rihanna for River Island: two more instalments to come

Ever the prolific Instagram-er, there's not a huge amount that hugely successful pop sensation Rihanna chooses not to share via the social networking photo site. This weekend, amid photos of her drinking white wine straight from the bottle and a few sunglass-donning 'selfies', a snap showed her fitting a model in a design from her forthcoming collection for River Island.

She captioned the shot: "Me and my better half @adamselman in design mode!! We went to #WERK on the upcoming #RihannaForRIVERISLAND Autumn and Winter collections! No really, we took it there! Like its not fair that you could get this kinda shit at #RIHverIsland."

Selman is the man behind many of the popstar's Bajan looks, and at the unveiling of her first collection for the retailer (shown during London Fashion Week in February), he was the one Rihanna brought out to take a bow alongside her.

Rihanna's first range hit stores back in March, with the thigh-split black dress, denim dungaree crop top and dark wash, double-top jeans emerging as the bestsellers. Next up is a high summer drop in May, featuring some of the floral-print designs originally shown in February. And, it now turns out, Rihanna for River Island will cover all the seasons with a wintry offering - although we won't be holding our breath for cashmere turtlenecks and snoods, for RiRi is a girl who dares to bare.
