Chanel’s Creative Director and Head Designer, Karl Lagerfeld is a man who unquestionably keeps his finger on the fashion pulse. Known for giving the nod to new starlets, his support can propel hot young women into the style spotlight and this is particularly the case when it comes to young singers. From Lily Allen to Azealia Banks to Alice Dellal, Karl has cherry picked some of music’s most talented females to sing at his shows, parties and to front his campaigns for Chanel.
Karl’s new crush appears to be a certain Miss Rita Ora, a star who not only appeared on the FROW at Chanel’s last couture collection, but has been Instagram-ing a stream of Chanel-related pictures over the past 24 hours. From a snap of Chanel’s Little Black Jacket book – the images from the tome are being exhibited in Dubai, where Ms Ora is currently staying – to a cute shot of the singer wearing a pair of white Chanel OTK boots, when it comes to fashion, we think we can guess Rita’s favourite label.
Also starring on Rita’s stream is a picture captioned ‘Chanel Princess mwah!’ and a host of Chanel accessories snapped from behind the scenes of a magazine shoot. We see Chanel leather gloves, and a heavily embellished cuff and Rita’s even posted a picture of herself flashing her taut tummy in the Chanel store.
