We knew that Ms Seyfried was a fan of Givenchy, as she jetted over to Paris in February to watch the Autumn 2013 collection from the front row, she wore a nude mermaid fishtail frock to the Golden Globes this year and she opted for a fiery red tulle gown for the Vanity Fair party after the Oscars. But it seems her red carpet loyalty to the house has paid off, as the actress has now landed a Givenchy fragrance campaign.
She has been signed as the face of Very Irresistible Givenchy, taking over from Liv Tyler, and also Clé de Peau Beauté. So what was her reaction to Givenchy's job offer? Well, the beauty dropped the f-bomb, as Mands told WWD: “F--k yeah. It’s an honest collaboration. I’m proud to be a part of [the brands I’m involved with] because what they do is really cool, especially Givenchy — they’re so artistic. And I feel like I have a foot in the fashion industry now.'
The ad camapign was styled by none other than Mr Riccardo Tisci, and includes both print and TV ads shot by Glen Luchford (print) and Cédric Klapisch (TV). But we'll have to wait until October until Mands' ad features in the glossies.
With her mermaid-like beauty and tumbling locks we're sure this is the first of many beauty campaigns for Amanda. But she's not likely to create her own celebrity fragrance as she told WWD 'They’re hard work, and the more you do, they take away from your work as an actor. I’m doing these two campaigns because I care about them and the people involved. They’re great things to be attached to.'
