Bride Wars: The Kimye And Poppy Delevingne Weddings Go Head To Head

The two biggest weddings of the year took place this weekend. You might have heard that Kimye got hitched over in Florence, while Poppy Delevingne had her second wedding of the month over in Morocco. These two events couldn't have been more different. Poppy wore billowing pastel Pucci; Kim wore a tight-fitted Givenchy gown. Poppy had camels; Kim had a flower wall. 1. First things first, THE DRESS

Get ready Pinterest, the Poppy Delevingne wedding dress is coming for you. Poppy wore a two-tiered white kaftan-inspired gown covered with embroidered pastel flowers. This beauty of a dress was designed by Peter Dundas for Emilio Pucci.

The Kimye Wedding

After months of speculation, it was revealed that Kim Kardashian wore a white lace Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci gown with sheer insert panels and a flowing veil.

2. The Bridesmaids

The Poppy Delevingne Wedding

Poppy's bridesmaids (including Sienna Miller and Cara Delevingne) wore a pick n' mix of white lace, with floral headbands. There were no strict rules for the bridesmaids, as Cara wore a white lace suit.

The Kimye Wedding

Kim's sisters were her bridesmaids (surprise, surprise) and they all wore white gowns. The only picture so far of their dresses comes courtesy of Khloe Kardashian, showing the back of a body-skimming column gown.

3. The Location

The Poppy Delevingne Wedding

Pops got married in Marrakesh, the mecca of the 70s bohemian scene and the much-loved home of Yves Saint Laurent. The Delevingnes took over the palatial La Mamounia Hotel in Marrakech.

The Kimye Wedding

Their mantra was go big or go home. They had a lunch in Valentino's chateau and dinner in the palace of Versailles, then got on a PLANE to Florence for the actual event at Fort Belvedere.

4. The Guest List

The Poppy Delevingne Wedding

This is the guest list of our dreams. Georgia May Jagger, Alexa Chung, Sienna Miller and Suki Waterhouse were all at the wedding. As for designers, Peter Dundas and Matthew Williamson also made the trip to Morocco.

The Kimye Wedding

Beyonce, Jay Z and Kim's brother Rob were no shows (eek), but Riccardo Tisci, Oliver Rousteing, Valentino, Andre Leon Talley and Franca Sozzani represented the fashion industry.

5. The Royal Rating

The Poppy Delevingne Wedding

An actual princess was at this wedding; Princess Beatrice. Poppy, you win this round.

The Kimye Wedding

The Kardashians pretended they were royalty by spending the night at Versailles. There were horse-drawn carriages and everything. Oh and Lord Dissick was there too.

6. The Decor

Thanks to Instagram we have a sneaky look at the table settings which include white table cloths, white and pink roses and lots of tea lights. Whimsical AND elegant!

The Kimye Wedding

We've only had five official pictures from the wedding so far, but the main talking point is the 20ft wall made of white roses. Just think of the Instagram opportunities...

7. Inside The Party

The Poppy Delevingne Wedding

Poppy had her own rave in the desert. Like any good rave the dance floor was awash with acid accessories.

The Kimye Wedding

We only saw the inside of the photobooth at the Kimye reception. There were no bleary-eyed candid shots at this wedding, as all of the pictures were black, white and super flattering.

8. The Best Dressed Gents

Derek Blasberg. In a Moroccan shawl. Stood next to camels. Need we say more?

The Kimye Wedding

Yes Poppy might have had the Blasberg, but Kimye had a lord: Scott Dissick. He was the definition of sassy with his own personalised slippers.
