Inside The Designer Pudsey Auction: Marc Jacobs, Giles Deacon & Cara Delevigne Raise Funds For Children In Need

Oh we do love a good cause and there is none better than Children In Need. And last night with a help of some very generous bidders they raised over £150,000 at their Designer Pudsey action – not bad for a night's work eh?!

The absolute star of the night had to be Giles Deacon’s Swarovski covered bear which went for a whopping £24,000 (we still wish we could have taken it home ourselves). Speaking to us about his glittering design Giles said, ‘I wanted to have the most important bear in the room with something like this I get really really competitive and it’s incredibly important as you want people to bid and make a ton of money for Children in Need.’ Looks like it worked!

Other designer bears included a floral pink Alexander McQueen bear, a suited and Tom Ford one and a cute floral Balenciaga bear we really would have like to have given a hug. Of course, we went to have a good old look at Victoria Beckham’s bear which was dressed in a deep red dress – she’d even signed the foot which we found incredibly exciting.

A whole host of celebs turned out to support the cause including Daisy Lowe, Nick Grimshaw (who then hot-footed it over to Kate Moss’ book launch for a spot of DJing) and Pixie Geldof who looked super smart in a Louis Vuitton suit. Cara Delevingne even popped by wearing a giant bear suit herself to model with one of the Pudseys.

If you’re a little sad that you missed out on all the bidding action, never fear, there’s still time. You can bid on the remaining bears by clicking here.
