Contrary to what today's GIF-happy media would have you believe, Michelle Obama's famous eye-roll was not an accurate indication of her mood at the inaugural lunch, where she was seated next to Speaker of the House John Boehner. Michelle Obama told GMA's Robin Roberts in an interview that went online today:
"I enjoyed the conversation, had a wonderful time at the lunch. That one shot bore no reflection to how I felt on that day ... It's difficult to interpret, you know, what's going on in a situation by one shot on a camera … it's not an accurate reflection of anyone's emotions on that day."
