Do you ever feel like you're having déjà vu? Y'know, same day in the office, they're playing that same Aloe Blacc song every two minutes, you must be stuck in an immortal loop of awful-music doom, surely? Either that, or Derek from accounts has got his 'Friday feeling' playlist on AGAIN, even though it's Tuesday. Stupid Derek.
Anyway, we digress. If Groundhog Day was anything to go by, being stuck in a never-ending loop of the same day is pretty sucky, but imagine the one day stuck on loop is the day you get thrown into a war for the first time and also, erm, the day you die... over and over and over again.
Well, this is exactly the bombastic time loop Tom Cruise has found himself in during Edge of Tomorrow. Major William Cage (Cruise) is thrown into combat for the first time and with no experience and dies. However, each time he comes back, he gets a little better at fighting - and learning how people take their coffee - thanks to training from special forces super-warrior Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt).
