Peter Alexander, a 28-year-old photographer who had exhibited work in London, Iceland and America, was reportedly 'messing around' with an unnamed 20-year-old male model when they both stumbled through the large open window which was covered by a closed blind.
The model suffered pelvic injuries and is said to be in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
The party was being hosted by fashion PR company Blow at a house in French Place, Shoreditch in east London on Friday, the first day of London Fashion Week.

"He was eccentric, a total character. He used to sell cameras down Brick Lane and he had all the banter. He wasn't a conventional guy and we loved him a lot," Billa Baldwin, a friend of Mr Alexander, told the Daily Mail .
Michael Oliveira-Salac, director at Blow, said: 'We are all very distressed by the incident. It is not an easy time. We have been provided little or no information as the police are still doing their investigation. Obviously our thoughts are with the families of the deceased and the injured man."
